A mysterious day
One rainy and windy night, when the bushes and trees swished in the city, Martha ran as fast as she could, trying to get to the door of her cafe. She arrived to find herself in a crime scene. The dead man was tall and he was dressed in a black suit. She called the F.B.I. and told them about the crime.
They came in very quickly and started investigating. They asked Martha if she had been cleaning the floor earlier that day. She was so scared she only nodded. So they told Martha that as she had washed the floor, some footsteps had been left on the floor that would help a lot in this investigation. They identified the dead man as the well known gangster and criminal, Mugsy Morrow. A man of the F.B.I asked Martha for the customers´ bills that had gone into the café that day. A box of cigarettes was on each table, but only one customer smoked and it was Mugsy Morrow. They saw that a cigarette was lying on the floor. One of the F.B.I. detectives found that two people had entered the kitchen after the murder, one of them was Martha. She affirmed that no one had gone out of the kitchen while she was there. There may be someone hidden inside. They looked inside some shelves, behind some boxes. Finally they opened the refrigerator room, and found a customer hidden behind the door. They took him out of the kitchen, put him inside the car, and went to the police station. His name was Jack Wilkinis, a peer of Mr. Mugsy Morrow.
In the alibi he said he didn’t know Mugsy Morrow but it was a lie, because a right hand mark was on the wall next to the cigarette lying on the floor. Mugsy Morrow was left handed and with the other hand that wasn’t on the wall, he fired the shot. When he saw the dead body he recognized him and ran away, but the F.B.I knew exactly how it had happened. Both of them had come into the shop, trying to kill someone. Mugsy Morrow would wait Martha to leave the shop and get more cigarettes and kill a rich person but as Martha had been washing the floor he slipped and killed himself instead. Jack ran away because his best friend had died.
