The Gold Coin

As I was watching the coins carefully, I found a hole on the wall and tried to see if something was there.  As I reached my hand to the hole, Claire stopped me and asked me if I wanted some tea.  After I finished my tea, I watched the jars carefully and noticed something on the bottom of the jar, there were the initials "C.M".  After that I asked her for her surname and SHE answered "Margaret".  When I decided to leave I thanked her and decided to go and spy on her at night.  That night, while I was spying on  her, I noticed she had pressed something in the hole I saw amongst the coins.  When she pressed the switch, a door appeared and she entered it. 

The next day I went to the shop and examined the jar.  In the bottom of the jar I saw the initials "C.M", just as in Claire´s house.  As I was thinking on what was inside the secret room at Claire´s house, I saw Chris talking in a low voice with Claire.  When Claire le the shop, I walk towards Chris and asked him what he knew from Claire.

Chirs: "Claire is my wife and her surname is Van Strudel.  She was born in Holand.  She might have told you her surname is Margaret because that´s my surname and she doesn´t like hers so she uses mine.  I would do anything to take her on a tour around the world.  If I had that coin I would take her but I have no chances now that it HAS disappeared."

I spent all that night trying to figure out who had stolen the coin.  In the morning I remembered the secret room at Claire´s house and thought some kind of clue might be there, so I planned a way of getting into her house WITHOUT  being caught by them.  That afternoon I got into her house and opened the secret door.  In the room I found a lock and using a decodifier I opened the lock.  Inside the lock was the golden coin inside a glass.  All of a sudden, the door was closed and I was trapped inside the room with the coin.  I was trying to figure out how to escape and tell the police about the coin when something caught my eye.  I saw a quite big air duct.  I climbed up there and went outside the house and ran to the shop.  In the shop I asked Chris how much he wanted the coin and  what he wanted for and if he knew something about Claire`s coin and jar collection.

Chris:" I only want the coin to take Claire to Hawaii or Paris for our anniversary, but now that it HAS disappeared I guess I`ll have to work much harder.  That`s why I asked Mr. Terry FOR a better price for the coin or a raise.  I only know that she loves her collection and she would DO anything to have her collection complete."

When he said that, it was all clear, Chris couldn`t have been because he worked so hard that he got home and was exhausted, and Claire would do anything to make her collection complete and in the bottom of the most unbreackable jar were the same initials that were on the jars at Claire`s house.  All I had to do was to take the police to her house and make her confess she had stolen the coin. 

The next day, I went with the police to her house and told them about the secret room so they went inside the house and saw Claire on the phone, apparently BOOKING a flight to Russia.  They took the phone from her hand and broke it.  They tied her up to a chair and went directly to open the secret door and saw the coin.  After that, they arrested her for ten years.  The coin was in perfect conditions and after some days all went back to normality except for Chris WHO cried for a month.  Finally, I was given a better job as a detective and worked In many different cases.
