mystery and detective stories

The Unsolved Mystery

The final test of my summer detective class didn't sound hard. I just had to find my teacher's lunch.

But there were two problems. The first was that I wasn't really a very good detective. I wasn't the brightest in the class. The second problem was that someone had stolen the paper bag lunch, and nobody knew who. That's what made it a test.

As I got out my dusting kit, I knew I had to solve this crime first if I wanted a good grade. Just find the fingerprints, then find the thief, I told myself. Simple as that.

I sprinkled the powder onto the back step of the school. All the other students were off searching in other places. They would probably solve the mystery first. I didn't know why I was even trying. I thought of my own sandwich in my back pocket and for a moment, thought of giving up, eating my lunch and waiting for my bad grade.

Then I saw the huge dog print take shape under my brush. Oh no, I thought, it's FANG! Fang was the huge dog that roamed the woods behind the school. Nobody knew who kept him. Nobody but me. I'd been in there once, and seen the old, creepy shack. I didn't want to go back.

But if I wanted that grade, I was going to have to find that Fang. And somehow, I'd have to talk him into giving me back the teacher's lunch!

I looked very carefully at the dog, saliva went out of his mouth, he seemed aS if he had HAD a good lunch today. That is why I supected about him . He smelled me , I stayed still and then he. I started running and got to school, the dog wasn't behind me. In the afternoon break I went to the woods again. I took a sandwich just as the teachers' one and left it there, he came OUT and ate it. I had another sandwich that was different, he didn't eat it. That was very suspicious. In the way back to  school I saw footprints WHICH looked like dog footprints that LED to school. In the class the teacher entered and said again THAT someone had stollen her sandwich so witough asking the teacher, I went out running and there he was, Fang was eating the sandwich. SOME seconds later all the class came behind me and saw Fang eating the sandwich. I said loud and clear, " the case is CLOSED!"

THE GOLDEN COIN.

I told her that her boyfriend had told us that she wanted that coin very much. I must look your house to see if there is something like a...GOLDEN COIN.

You have many jars with coins. (IS THIS DIALOGUE? IF SO WRITE IT CORRECTLY) Lancy interrupted and said we would have to take the coins and see if one of them was the one we where looking for. So we left. We didn't find out what we  were looking for. THE next step was to look FOR the golden stuff. Of course we did't find it. We searched in the town, but, we got nothing. On the way to Claire's house to give  her coins back no one answer the knock on the door. We stood there for a few minutes more but nobody came so we left.

The next day we went to the house again. We waited for a long time so we opened the door. On the desk were two airoplane tickets, we realized they had left. But we thought if the tickets were there they had forgotten them, so they couldn't leave. We quickly entered INto the car and drive to the airport with the tickets. When we were there we searched for them, they were first in the line. Claire seemed to be looking for something and that is when we went there and said,

"Are you looking for these?" and we showed them the tickets, so the police came quickly and searched for the coin. Of course, they found it. It was in Mr Teddy's pocket. The police man took them to the police car and to  jail. There in the airport Lancy and  me clapped hands and shouted"the case is closed!"

wanted department.

Eddie Morino paced the night-time streets of New York, lost amongst his own thoughts. He did not know where he was walking, he just needed to get out and let his mind and legs wander. He peered through the driving rain, which was so common in New York City at this time of year. He noticed the lights of a thousand cars and the colours of hundreds of neon shop signs, bright, in his face. He saw how the images shimmered in the ever-growing puddles at his feet. It was these images that helped him in times like this. He had been working on a case now for two weeks and his clues seemed to have dried up. The reflections in the puddles changed, took on new shapes as people and cars caused the water to ripple. To Eddie, this change, this new angle, helped him look at the facts in a new way. It all began like this.

While I was watching T.V IN my department with some coffee, I heard a strange noise It came from out OF the window, but not my department window if not the neighbour's departmen window. The noise was something like a person moving a tree. I couldn't stop thinking of what it was , so I decided to go to the neighbour's department. While I was walking the moving tree noise stopped, then I heard some chat, a strange chat, and then... a shot. I went running (WHERE DID YOU GO?)and I opened the door. I saw my neighbour dead ON the floor.

A few seconds later I reacted and quickly got the phone and called 911. While the police came I thought again of the moving tree noise so I looked out OF the window. Nobody WAS there. Suddenly the police came and saw the body. I told them I was innocent, that I was in my department drinking coffee and watching T.V when all these STRANGE EVENTS happended. The police told me it was very good TO HAVE heard that noise. They asked me to work with them on the mystery. I really wanted to know what had happened saw I acepted.

That night I could't sleep so I stood up and went to the window to watch the beautiful New York City. (WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THIS IDEAS AND THE NEXT ONE? IS IT "I" OR "HE"?)

He dressed up and went out to the street to admire the beautiful city he had seen in the window and forgot about everything.    Suddenly I saw someone moving a tree, My department tree. IT was the same noise I had heard before! I ran quickly to my department calling 911. When I was opening the door I saw on the wall the rent sign. That is when I remembered the person that was so angry with me and my department parner, he was very angry because we bought the departments before him and he really liked it. So I thought, was he  so angry as to kill someone?, Yes he was very angry. I went running up, and the police came right behind me. I told the police  to open the door. They opened it, and yes that was the angry person, very angry he said " these department should be mine, only mine not their's!" The police caught him and took him to the police. The first nights were a little difficult to sleep but I  got used to it.

John didn't know where he was. He looked out of the window, but nothing seemed familiar. The room was strange too. He didn't recognise any of the furniture. And his clothes, although they were a good fit, surely didn't belong to him? He'd never had a yellow shirt. Or a brown check jacket.

As he sat on the padded wooden stool trying to puzzle out answers to all these questions, he slowly became aware of something in the back pocket of his trousers. Something hard. He put his hand in his pocket and pulled it out. It was a wallet, John opened it, he had a photo of her daughter, she had been kidnapped but John couldn't remember it. Also his wife picture, he could remember his family, but not why he was there. He looked inside he had one thousand pesos. And underneath the money a note, the note said "we will save you", Who was "we"?, was it his wife?, if it was who else?.  John was a great detective. He solved all the mystery and he was going to solve this one. But first he had to find clues of why he was there.  He remembered her daughter, so first he wanted to find her daughter, Lily. He looked for clues, he found a hair, it was a blonde hair. She thought is was his daughter's hair. He also found a doll, definetely it was Lili's doll. He went out the door, at first it was closed but he found the key and opened it. He heard never ending shouts
