Murder at Martha’s café
It was a quiet evening at Martha’s café before the murder had occurred. It was up to me, detective Martin Stead and my trusty and loyal hound George to solve the mystery.
First thing we did was to go to inspect the crime scene at Martha’s café. It was a horrible site. We found a well known gangster called Mugsy Morrow lying dead on the floor; my trusty dog managed to find that the body smelled of gun powder and discovered he had not only one bullet but ten bullets in his chest. By the time we finished inspecting it, it was ten o’clock. We went to our apartment and I started cooking, had supper and went to bed.
The next morning I woke up and had breakfast at ten o’clock and went to visit the 1st suspect. She lived in an apartment on 5th avenue. Martha opened the door of her shabby little apartment and we asked her a few questions. She said that she was in the kitchen while the crime was committed. She was serving four customers when two of them left; I named them customers C and D. She started cleaning the floor and then went to the kitchen. Then a customer (customer A) followed her to the kitchen. I asked her why and she said because he wanted work and she told him that he could start the next day as a waiter. I thanked her and we left.
The next suspect was customer A. He lived in a big house in Liberty Island. We took a police helicopter to the island. He invited us into his living room. We asked him why he had gone into the kitchen. He told us the same thing as Martha so they were telling the truth. We took the helicopter back and went to inspect Martha’s café. We inspected it more carefully; my dog found that the smell of the coffee handle was for left handed because it was on the left hand side. And the hand on the wall was also right handed so he had shot with his left hand. So that meant that it must have been customer B. We went to the police station and found that customer B had already been to prison, so we went to his house and shot him in the leg. He almost escaped but my dog managed to stop him and he was sentenced to jail for ever.
A good job boys!! Miss Ale
