The gold Coin
Although Claire had just moved into the neighbourhood, she told me she was a good friend of Kelly because they had gone to middle school together. Kelly had written her a letter saying that she was in love with Mr Terrry, who owned a coin store. "I love coins, specially gold ones", she confessed. Kelly had also told Claire that her boyfriend's store had the most valuable gold coin in the world.
A month and a half went by, and the gold coin had not been recovered yet. Lancy, the detective, could not find any fingerprints in the jar nor clues in the store. He interrogated Mr Chris, the assistant, many times, because he usually liked to wear dark clothes. But he got nothing out of it.
On December 20th, Claire told Kelly she would be flying back to Canada to spend Christmas with her family. So Kelly gave her a present that had to be opened in Christmas eve. The present had a note saying:"Remember me for ever, your friend Kelly".
On Christmas eve, Claire opened Kelly's present and felt guilty because she saw something she could never imagine to see. She saw the golden coin of Mr.Terry. Claire didn't know what to do. Later on she went back to where Mr.Terry was, gave him the coin and told him all the story. When Mr.Terry noticed that Kelly was the guilty ONE she first called the police and then went to the house to look for Kelly. When he arrived home and noticed Kelly wasn't there he asked Claire were she could go. And the first thing that came to her mind was airport. So they traveled to the airport and saw Kelly with another man. THat meant that she robbed the coin just to marrie another man. At the end of all, and of a long discusion between Terry and Kelly the police took Kelly to jail. And who was the man that Kelly wanted to marry:It was Mr.Chris, the asistant.
